What's coming upPosted on February 07, 2008 @ 06:56PM Just in case someone out there wonders why I haven’t posted anything lately well here is the rundown. Two weeks ago I went on vacation with every intent to write while on the plane there and back. However, that was not to happen since the video card on the laptop decided to take a dive. So nothing has really been done since then but I did receive the laptop back yesterday and now just need to reload some things. Also I have a bit of work to do on the Museum’s website that I had put off while the laptop was gone as well. Anyhow I’m getting ready to put some new stuff up within a week. During my conversation with Deborah Pratt she asked if I could do a little on the history of my character so that is what I am working on. Here are some interesting points of the history for Tennis Kalop that will be touched upon during the flashbacks that I will be writing. Tennis Kalop Background Ideas Tennis was born on the island of Eron, one of the islands that are collectively known as the Corporate Islands. Both of his parents, Benton and Rochelle, work for the Citimatics AeroTrans, a corporation that deals with transportation industries. Transportation between the islands is done with a network of suspended train transports. Looks like an upside down monorail train. Tennis held few love interests but none had more of a hold on him then Jenette Pennington. Two years later she disappeared one day. Later he received a Vybernet message from her, her father had been transferred due to a matter of utmost urgency of which she still did not know about. A few months after that she disappeared and Tennis was unable to contact her anymore. Tennis decided to leave the islands thinking that being in the Politia might give him better opportunities to find Jenette. Having Bo Rambo as a classmate at the acedemy. The island of Coretona is home to some huge towering cliffs that are used for body sailing when the winds are right. Body Sailing Idea http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/02… Now keep in mind that we have not seen the Corporate Islands in the book yet. This is just my idea of what they might look like and not what Deborah Pratt thinkgs they might look like. But I am trying to keep with the feel of the book so I think I might be somewhat close. |
