I know kids can be the best thing that ever happens in a couples life. Now, if only Drew and I were an official “couple.” He still misses and loves Catra, but she was killed years ago, and I am here and alive right now! We “couple” often enough, but I can’t turn his heart toward me unreservedly. What we have is good for both of us for now though: passionate, strong, warm, and loving. I wouldn’t trade my relationship with him for the world.

Anyway, back to the extended foster kids! Our half-wild litter of human/feline splicer kids can be especially trying.

Leo is so big and powerful now, and he seems to want to prove to his older brother Daemon that he can beat him in sparring and combat training. My two most physically powerful boys want to outdo each other! Drew caught them in all out combat, broke it up, and grounded them both. We’ll see if it helps.

Anders seems more interested in the opposite sex than in training right now. I know it might seem perverse and not-understandable to outsiders, but I believe Mother-Teacher picked just these kids to be under our care so that they could possibly all fall in love with each other some day. No one is biologically related, and we haven’t raised them to think of each other as taboo brothers or sisters. I believe their particular genetics blended together could produce children mighty in body, mind, and spirit. In our adopted foster family we all have some innate visionistic powers, and have been developing them under the teaching of our Mother-Leader. Any children would be so strong, no Black Guard could hurt them, or survive a direct attack on them.

I just hope we’re going to be ready when the final move is made against mankind by the biodroids. I’m willing to die valiantly trying to fight them, if that is the Universal Gods Will. I would rather fight triumphantly with my family all around me and Drew by my side. Maybe then I could be “the one” for Drew in his heart and soul.
