My contacts among the people who live in the higher levels here in Sangelino are saying hopeful things about getting my oldest children in Sangelino University, or even better, at Tosadae. I hope I can swing the finances through the extended splicer underground support web if Tosadade becomes a reality. I know my 4 oldest are ready to go now. I am ready for them to be trained there, and come back to help us all.

I’ve had to hunt down a lot of special things for people, to pull in enough favors to get what I need for my young children. My biological children died right before some of the hunger riots. Catra, my first mate, died shortly after. It has been healing to have these adopted children to raise as my own with the blessing of our Mother-Teacher. She sees into the heart of a matter and knows the best way to take. Our family coalition would have died many times over the last several decades if she had not brought us all together and organized us as a pack. And for the last several years, I have loved my “new” wife Audra as my second mate, a true fellow warrior and partner to share this life with. I hope she knows how much I love and appreciate her, and how passionate I feel toward her. She is perfect, even if I feel a little old for her. Of course, she has never said anything, but a man gets a liitle weird in his late 40’s. Universal God help her and me through whatever mid-life crisis I end up going through.

I still miss Catra. She was my mate and we were exclusive to each other, a rare thing among our particular splicer kind. But Audra is my chosen now, and we are great together, truly meant to be.
