RecuperationPosted on August 30, 2008 @ 03:37AM After Miro was retrieved, Grenci and I rode in the ambulance which took her to the Tosadae Hospital. A while after we got there, the Politia officers turned up and asked me to wait outside while they questioned Miro about the cult. I didn’t go far, and just waited in the corridor outside her room. I thought long and hard about the whole ordeal, and remembered my dream about Miro. When the officers had left I went back in, and asked if her if she was okay. She said she was good, she was relieved, and she just wanted to rest. I tried to ask her about the dream, because the place I had seen looked uncannily like the place Miro was rescued from. I had never had a dream that vivid either. Miro was reluctant to talk about anything related to the cult , and asked to drop it. We sat there in silence for a while, and I held her hand until she fell asleep. I realized I hadn’t talked to Kam in ages, so I caught up with him at the Nax. Poor guy was pretty worried about Havel, his girl. She was worried sick about her family in Atlantia and had seemed to be going through some pretty bad emotional shifts. Kam felt like he couldn’t really keep up. For a while she was depressed, and then she was numb, then she seemed okay for a while, but now she had gotten angry. Kam said he didn’t really want to be around her until she had calmed down again, and asked if we could hang out more often. Now that I knew Miro was safe I was more than happy. I told him I’d meet him at the Nax again tomorrow. He said he’d bring Nkiru along, because she was quite interested in meeting Nkiru. |
