An encounter.Posted on August 03, 2008 @ 11:08AM Everyday since Miro has been gone, I’ve been into the city showing her holo ID, stopping only to go to classes. It’s exhausting and I am having no luck whatsoever. I found a small alcove just as I was getting quite tired, and sat down. I must have fallen asleep, because I’d woken up four hours later, with a splitting-headache, in complete darkness. I must have been dehydrated. I loaded up the brightest visual I had stored in my wristponder, an article about the Orbis Gnorb, and went straight to the visual. A hologram of the gnorb hovered around my wristponder, and I turned the brightness to full. It provided a reasonable amount of light to see where I was going. For some reason this part of the city was in a complete blackout. I looked around, hoping to avoid any danger that might be around. Mu was mostly Politia, and it was a reasonably safe place to be, but what with the recent drug scare, I didn’t want to take my chances that there could be some malevolent people about. I started walking in the direction of Tosadae. I could see its bright Celian spires lit up in the distance. I headed towards it, quickly. After a while, I heard my footsteps begin to echo. Which confused me because I hadn’t changed terrain, and I was pretty sure the ground beneath me was hollow. I stopped and the steps continued. I turned around and saw a dark figure, smaller, the size of a child. I through my fists up, astonished.
I was shocked. What could it all mean? I looked back to the spires of Tosadae, and then looked back to the child. But he had disappeared. I’d better tell Grenci. |
