I could not believe the team, my friends, had asked me to use performance enhancing drugs. After they left, I just sat in the locker room for the longest time, looking at the two pills in my hands.

Without the team, I had no friends. No one I could talk to. I couldn’t go to my airhead roommates, they wouldn’t take it seriously, and we never talk to each other, and they wouldn’t take it seriously anyway.

There was only one person I could go to about this, and there was no guarantee he would actually listen to me… I had to see Kam.

I waited outside simulated flight, and when I saw Kam walk out with Derf I went straight up to him and said: “Kam, I need to talk to you.” He looked at me apprehensively, but he came with me to the Nax to talk. “What is it?” He asked. “Shouldn’t you be hanging out with your new Crizettes buddies?” I burst into tears, he looked at me concerned. I think he kind of knew that I wouldn’t cry unless things were really dire. “Nkiru… What is it?” he asked. I held out my hand and dropped the pills on the table. “Is-is that what I think it is?” He asked confused. “It’s called Splintron,” I sobbed. “The team is using performance enhancing drugs, and they want me to as well! I don’t know what to do!” “Nkiru. You’ve gotta tell someone.” He said. “I know. But they’re my friends!” I exclaimed. “Would friends ask you to lie? To cheat?” he asked. “No…” I replied. “Then let the head of the Zero-G” commission know.” he said. “If you need support, I’ll come with you.” “Thanks Kam.” I said.

Now I’ve just got to this without the team finding out.
