Abducted

I had gone to report my assault to the Tosadae campus security. I said goodbye to Grenci in the morning and went on my way. I think I may have made it a few blocks before I felt a blunt pain in my head, and everything went black.

I woke up, and I was complete darkness. I smelt honey. The smell from that initial encounter. The smell from my dreams. A bright light flashed from above, and I saw the outlines of several people, the contours of a giant dome, with square coffer indentations lining its interior.

I was in the hall of shadows. The hall of shadows was supposed to be in Australia, which was now the South Republic. But that was impossible.

“Priestess” I heard, a vicious whisper in the dark. It was joined by other voices, all saying “Priestess.”

I was crying. “What?” I sobbed? “What do you want?”

“The priestess will lead us once more.” came a voice. “We will take the gnorbs. Though one has been taken by others, we will not be deterred.”

I passed out.
