The Priestess of the Hall of Shadows

My research into the Hall of Shadows had not been enough. I thought that if I knew more about them I’d know how to combat my constant paranoia and nightmares. Unfortunately, they must truly have had designs on me after all, because they’ve abducted me.

I’ve never been so scared in my life.

They came into the cell they had locked me in. I say they, because I had no idea who what they looked like. It was pitch-black, and I couldn’t see a thing.

“Priestess,” came a male voice.
“Who are you?” I whimpered. “What do you want?”
“Priestess,” the voice repeated.
“What priestess?” I cried. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“You are our priestess,” said the voice.
“I’m not a priestess!” I exclaimed. “I’m not even religious!”
“You are the reborn priestess of the Hall of Shadows,” The voice replied. “You will lead us back in the light.”
