Feeling better.

Posted on July 06, 2008 @ 07:03AM

Kam walked into my dorm room where I was still moping.
“C’mon Have. I’ve got a surprise for you.”
“Oh, no Kam. I don’t feel like doing anything…”
“Enough of that. This is something you’ll like. You’ve been depressed for too long. I think this might help.” He told me, quite insistently.

I put on my “going out” clothes and Kam was waiting outside with a hovercar. We got in, and the car sped off. I was still very dejected, and Kam passed over two digital slides.

“What are these? I asked him.
“They’re tickets and backstage passes to Resolution 1962,” he replied. “They’re playing here in Mu.”

“Universal God!” I exclaimed.

The concert had the same effect on me as last time. Again the crowd gave off a consistent yellow-orange aura, that seemed to combine throughout the whole stadium, I couldn’t help but get caught up in the whole thing. When “Traffic” came on, I just lost myself in it.

Later, backstage, Kam took me to see Tasi and Tani Koru, the lead singers of the band. He introduced me, but I was bit downcast again. “Is she alright?” Tasi asked Kam. “Her family lives on Atlantia, in Atland City.” Kam replied. “She’s very worried about them.” Tani, came close to me. She was beautiful. Her long hair rested perfectly straight in braids behind her, and her tattoos swirled over her body, changing shape and color to a soothing pale yellow. She spoke softly to me, reassuringly.

“I know it is hard Havel. Our family is from Atlantia as well. This is a terrible thing that has happened, but you cannot let it consume you. No one is more important than your family, and this is why you must endure. You must thrive in order to honor them. This is what they would want from you.”

She was crying as she spoke to me, and I cried as well. I asked if I could call her if things got hard, and she promised me I could. It is so wonderful to know a person you have always looked up to is just as kind and compassionate as you could hope them to be.

We said our goodbyes, and Kam drove me back to Tosadae.
“Thank you Kam,” I told him. “Thank you so much.”
“Anytime Have,” he replied. “Anytime you need me, I’ll be here.”

I’m feeling better now. I shall succeed, and honor my family.
