I still can’t answer 2 questions from the Sangelino Gnorb! Has anyone answered all the questions successfully?

No, I still haven’t been able to answer “what is the name of the device that Cashton invented?” or “What Politia Commander was instrumental in Lazer’s going to Tosadae?” I know the answer to the 2nd question, it’s Politia Commander Devlin Hague, but the gnorb will not accept any variations of that name. I think the website has a problem, because, unless it’s a trick question somehow, the book plainely states it was Hague who pulled the strings to get Lazer at Tosadae.

You know, I still can’t get either questiion myself. But nonbody seems to have the right answers or at least admits they can’t get it either, so I don’t know. Kind of frustrating.

I agree that the site still has some glitches. I’m stuck on the above questions too.

There are several devices Cashton invented – the E-3 or 3-E box (it’s given as both in the book), the isotropic hazer, and the holographic imagers. I’ve tried variations of all of the above, but nada.

Well, my friends, I’ve completely solved the Gnorb! They changed a question, and made another answerable.

I’m a little dissapointed that nothing happened. They promise was something very special if and when you solve it. Nothing special has come my way yet.

Down to one node left and I can’t select it to answer for anything. Had the same problem with the last three but now it seems there is little chance of me being able to totally solve the gnorb I fear. Been trying to select the last node for quite a few days now

Finally got them all answered. Some of the answers are not as straight forward as perhaps most people would like, which is understandable.

Also too, some of the answers just need to be answered more simply. They’re not looking for sentances, usually one or two key words.

Good luck and stay in the light.

Ouch, that bites big time. If it’s the node I think it is, you may want to hover your cursor below where the node is at… There is one that I found (aside from floating about) is off center from where you should be able to activate it.

I’m having the same problem. I have answered all but one because it won’t let me open the node. The node in question is in the southwestern area of the gnorb, right in the middle of it.

May you walk in the light and Blessed Be.

That is the same one I cannot open as well Talisien! Apperently it wasn’t a problem with just me as well.

Just like Opalmox saidhover your cursor over the node until it expands then you should be able to click on it. I had that problem on the far right node. It took a few tries to get it.

Opsidian and Talisien, seems that we have a common problem. It doesn’t matter how long I hover over it, zoom in, or slowly move it about, I just can’t seem to get that one to open up.

You could try and click furiously while you move your cursor around. When it expands over your cursor you can click it. Try dragging the node around with your cursor.

Sorry to hear that Cetara, maybe one day they will look into that and get it fixed. Must be some sort of bug there if all three of us are unable to open the same gnorb.

It’s odd that one node won’t open. I solved the gnorb already with some problems with the nodes. The gnorb has been updated several times. It could be according to the time you became a Questor. The older people’s account could have a bug, while the newer ones don’t. Then again all the gnorbs should be the same. Try updating to the newest version of Shockwave, Adobe flash, and Java. It might work considering this site needs Flash 9 and Shockwave 10.

I know from previous posts of some of the problems that they were having… But the folks that have posted lately are all newer accounts.

It could have something to do with the sequence in which they were solved. I know that it sounds odd, but it’s the only thing that I can think of, especially since the node points are floating.

I had some problems when I got started, but those were on the NW quadrant. They were akin to what everyone else was having a problem with, but I solved the bottom and left side first.

I had a similar experience, where certain nodes wouldn’t solve unless other ones were solved first. It could be sequential, but its hard to tell since everyone solves the gnorb in different manners. If we found a general sequence by asking everyone whos solved the gnorb, then it would be sequential. Well I’m a new Questor going on about a week so I guess just wait and see. If only the designer of the gnorb read the forums…then we could get an explanation.

I have an odd fealing that there are some folks that read the forums and blogs, and although no one has been assigned as a moderator, I’m sure that it’s something that they may be looking at.

Reading over some of the older forum postings it seems that some of the questions are different now than they were when they first made the gnorb available. Only time will tell.

Of course as much as some of us are on this site, I’m sure that they could get a volunteer to be a forum monitor if they asked. The nice thing though that we have been fortunate enough that a monitor hasn’t been required.

Yea, but remember this site is still growing. There will come a time in the near future, where obscene topics and remarks will appear. Everything in this world has a beautiful beginning, then gets corrupted in the end. Such is life. Not much people post anyway. Out of the 500 of us only 30 or so have posted. There are only a few with more than one posting. I would like to see it to the day when more Questors are taking part in our online community. So far there’s not much to do, but later on there will. The people who are in the forum the most should be considered moderators at some point, since they influence/control the conversations.

LOL… You talkin’ ta me? ;)

Actually I try to encourage people to post… Seems that at a minimum with the Top 50 List, more people are starting to post again. Some even entered their Bios… But in the end it’s up to them.

Sadly, there are a number of Questors that actually have a score of 0. Those people I would love to encourage to at least explore the site. But if their score is 0, they haven’t even logged in since they made the account.

One thing that I’d like to see that might help encourage folks to post blogs and/or forum notes would be the ability to submit news stories for the news letter, and start putting that out on a quarterly or monthly basis, then e-mail those out to the e-mail address that they listed the account with.

Just a random thought.

LOL of course I am Mox, or do we have to routinely address who we’re talking to? That would be a great idea to include stories and sorts in the newsletter. Like I said the site is still growing, so there’s room for improvement and much to look forward too. Right now I think the problem is the lack of interesting activities on the site. Like Direhoof said from the game topic, people love eye candy. If contests are held for stories and such, thats another way to encourage people to post. Not much people have read The Vision Quest yet anyway. A random poll I conducted on a site says about 24% have heard of Deborah Pratt, but 1% read her book. Only scifi readers access those polls, so its hard to base population wise. How to get people to post is one of the problems on many sites. It just depends on the topics and the community. What we have is a bunch of shy nobodies. LoL
