Did anyone make it to the San Diego ComiCon?

I managed to get Sunday off, but discovered that the tickets had long since been sold out. Which would be my luck… The last few months has definately been an uncertain period for me.

I’m just sorry that I missed an opportunity to meet Deborah, and see her display.

LOL… Well, I have zorbak to thank for the last aura boost which put me at that mark.

It would be nice if I can make it to ComiCon… I’ve been trying for the last few years, but something always seems to come up to thwart that effort. I think next year I just purchase the 4 day pass when they become available, and if I can make it, then I’ll have the pass in order to get in, even if it’s just for one day.

The main reason that I wanted to make it to this one was to see the comic that Deborah was putting together, and even purchase what ever she had available for sale, even if they were the “ash can” versions. Sometimes those wind up being worth more than the later color versions… and I have a fealing that this series will be around for quite some time.

In looking at the site, it seems that the number is continuing to grow, and as the books, comics and site gains popularity, then there is a potential of seeing the whole thing explode in popularity… Which wouldnt’ be a bad thing.

But it would be nice to see Teacher and her clan find their way back to the boards, along with some of the other folks that I would consider as founding questors. Their blogs were inspirational, and were part of the driving force behind my continuing return to the site.

I wanted to go to ComiCon this year to see Stan Sakai, Avatar, and the Vision Quest booths/presentations, but sadly being stuck on a rock in the middle of the ocean means airfare is expensive for a roundtrip. I’m tranferring to Oregon next year, which will put me closer to San Diego. I’m looking forward to attending next years ComiCon. Just got to figure out my transportation plan…...lol.

I’m pleased to see the site grow as more people hear about it. Just hoping the admin pays more attention to the problems we experience and providing us with updates.

Going from a Warrior to a Beaver. I’m not too sure about that one… But at least you’ll be back on the Main Land.

As to when the book is supposed to be released… I’m not sure of the exact date. I’m sure that Deborah has been quite busy trying to get stuff wrapped up in time for ComiCon, and the upcoming release of that comic series… One thing that I can say for certain, if you liked the first book, you’re gonna love the second one.

I had really wanted to get out there for ComicCon myself but couldn’t. I have to agree with Mox, if you liked the first book then you will love the second. New lands, new characters and a great plot.

Just make sure that you’ve done all of your chores and had at least one good meal before you sit down to read the second book, as you’ll not want to put the book down once you start…

May not be a bad idea to introduce your spouse or significant other to the series, and pick up two copies… That way they are as engrossed as you are, and they can’t say that you are ignoring them. ;)

Ooh, ooh, I just had a neat thought. Maybe Deborah will make the comics available through the store. And 1st 50 purchases get a copy signed by her. :D

Hey, I can wish. ;)
